Readers Feedback on Joanna's Dawn

2nd October 2012
Wow! What a strong beginning paragraph...

Your characters Denny and Joanna rock. I'm sure James is also an important character here and we'll see what happens in Chapter 2.

The cinematic approach is full of supporting materials and you've successfully fused them into the plot to create a dynamic ambiance.

On the other hand, I loved the way you blew spirit into Joanna -a kind of 'I yam what I yam' dominant female who knows exactly what she wants.

Martian humans, definitely a creative concept. The futuristic atmosphere, I loved it.

The use of language is originally superb, and unpretentious.

I think this is one of the most interesting books here on Authonomy and the genre's enthusiasts will enjoy to read it.

6/6 stars from me, and watch-listed for further comments.

Best wishes,

We love your book and have backed. We also rated very high and hope to comment on soon we hope. Good luck and well done.

Currently reading the four on my shelf and your book is one of them. It is great. I may comment more later, but for now, I like what I have read.

Hello again, I went back and re read then enjoyed the rest of what you have posted. An intriguing tale is developing and I look forward to reading the remainder when you write/post it

This is a timely story what with Curiosity just beginning to explore Mars for signs of life. From the title I thought it was going to be a gentle story maybe about the beauty of Mars so the first chapter (no spoilers) was a real surprise. Made me happy to get out of that room and into Joanna’s apartment for the next chapter. I think the message from James is intriguing. It’s both a good way to introduce the plot and tell more about Joanna in the way she responds to the message. A good sci-fi read,

A strong opening, not to my taste though. Lots of blood and guts - I'm sure there are plenty of people out there this will appeal to.

Good luck.

Just finished reading your first chapter, excellent ! I don't know how long or often you edited/rewrote this but it flows beautifully, nothing clunked - unlike many other offerings on this site. From the off it engages and promises much, over the next couple of days I'm going to read through to the finish, confident that the standard will be consistent.

Nice one, I loved the contrast between the opening sequence and the second. The violence followed by meeting Joanna her world as it was before the first scene implodes into her world. I liked the style of that. Fast paced, then slow it down and then back up again. Brilliant. PS - Upload more!!!

This book is great! It's great for me to learn writing skills also as I'm an aspiring writer and have recently started to submit bits of work. Thanks so much for this read.

I like Science Fiction and this is a good one.

Hmmm did the first chapter hook me? Yes. Plenty of gore. Action. Minus the gore i would recomend. Well written. Would buy!

Excellent book, would love to read the rest
